Updated over 7 months ago

The Bkper Date Range Slider allows you to navigate through account balances over time, providing valuable insights into the historical, current, and future financial position and performance of your business.

This functionality is especially useful for gaining quick insights to understand your business's financial trends and for making informed decisions based on accurate and up-to-date data.

To access the Range Slider in Bkper, click on the date range at the top of the Balance Sheet.

The date displayed on the Balance Sheet represents the date of the balance values at the end of the period selected on the Range Slider.

The date range displayed on the Incoming & Outgoing Balance values represents the period of accumulated balance values during the selected period on the Range Slider.

Select the Range

To select the range, click on the dates in the range slider on top of the Balance Sheet, and in the pop-up menu, choose a Month, Quarter, or Year.

Permanent accounts on the Balance Sheet will show the position at the end of the selected range, while non-permanent accounts show the performance (accumulated balance values) during that range.

Permanent accounts on the Balance Sheet will show the position at the end of the selected range (12/31/2020), while non-permanent accounts show the performance (accumulated balance values) during that range (01/01/2020 till 12/31/2020).

Change the Period of the Range

To change the period of the range, click on the arrows on the Range Slider to adjust the left menu.

Change the Starting month of the Annual Range

If you need to change the starting month of the annual range, click on the dates in the Range Slider and in the pop-up menu, select the year range and choose the month in which that year has to start.

Get Daily Balance Values

Consolidating balance values often requires daily balance values, which as you can see are not defined on the Range Slider as a fixed period. However, you can find the running balance on the last daily transaction by clicking on any permanent account.
