Delete & Restore Transactions

Understand what happens when you delete Transaction from your book or when you restore it from the trash bin

Updated over a year ago

Transactions have already been processed in the account balances, so instead of deleting a transactions, it is reverted and placed into the trash bin. Reverting transactions ensures the consistency of both balance values.

In the same manner when a deleted transaction is restored from the Trash bin it is reverted and placed back into your book, again to ensure the consistency of both balance values.

Drafts entries have no impact on the account balances, they are deleted from your book and restored from the trash bin normally.

The Bkper trash bin cannot be emptied because the passage of drafts and transactions through the trash bin, is part of its traceable history.

The monthly transaction counter of your subscription plan, counts posted transactions only. Deleting or restoring transactions, has no impact on the counter. If you post 20 transactions, the counter will show 20. Delete 10, restore 5, and delete 2 more, the monthly counter remains at 20.
