Hashtags in Transactions

How Hashtags Enhance Transaction Tracking and Searchability in Bkper

Updated over a week ago

Hashtags serve two primary purposes in Bkper:

1. On Input: They help the Bkper Agent identify the From and To accounts in transactions.

2. Searchability: They make transactions easily searchable, helping you identify related transactions.

For example, you can record an invoice number with a hashtag to easily identify both the issuance and the payment by simply clicking on the hashtag.

Add #hastags to your Transactions

Record a transaction with a hashtag and it will be registered to your book and indexed.

Manage Hashtags

In some cases, books may contain undesired hashtags that could negatively impact search results.

For example, employees might use the hashtag #taxi for reimbursements, but a few foreign team members recorded it as #taksi, which wouldn’t show up in the reimbursement report.

To correct this, follow these steps:

Remove hashtags from the autocomplete

Search for #taksi

Edit all the relevant transactions, changing the description to the correct hashtag #taxi.

After this, the hashtag #taksi will no longer appear in autocomplete or search results.

Remove from Bkper Agent’s transaction completions

To ensure the Bkper Agent no longer considers #taksi, type “-#taksi” (with a minus sign in front) in the input field and press the red “Record” button.

This will prevent the Bkper Agent from treating “taksi” as a valid hashtag in future entries.

Note:

If you do not edit the misspelled #taksi in older transactions, it will continue to appear in autocomplete and remain indexed for search.

Unused hashtags are automatically ignored by the Bkper Agent after 90 days.
